About Benchmark Motors

Benchmark Motors Inc. was established in 1987. Danny Grant (Our Owner) had a passion for machines that started at a very young age with his first go kart and mini bike at ten years old. His first small engine rebuild at age 12. His love for the automobile continued until his first real job at the local gas station at the age of 15. After graduating high school Danny started working at a Mustang restoration shop tuning his skills. When work slowed he decided maybe a career change was in order so he thought computers and electronics was the way of the future. While working at a computer firm and going to school, one of Danny’s duties was to maintain the companies car which included two Mercedes Benz that where serviced and repaired by Benchmark Motors. After taking the Mercedes to Benchmark Motors and realizing that newer cars have everything he has ever wanted in a life long career, computers, electronics, and mechanical parts, perfect combination! At that time Benchmark only serviced BMW and Mercedes Benz. In 1993 Danny gained employment at Benchmark Motors, and from there eventually went on to purchase the business from the previous owner.

Benchmark opened its doors to most other foreign and domestic automobiles and became an authorized Bosch service center. Benchmark Motors is the only independent repair facility in the area that has factory level repair and scan tools for; Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, and Volvo.
